Setting the privileges for internal users on a server (UNIX, Linux)

Select the level of privileges to apply to all the internal users on a database server.

Prerequisites:
  • For internal users, the HCL OpenAdmin Tool (OAT) for Informix® requires HCL Informix 11.70.
  • To create users with database authentication, Informix 11.70.xC2 or later is required.
  • For Informix 11.70.xC3 or later, the mapped user surrogates file must be set up before you can create internal users.

To set the privileges for internal users on a server:

  1. On the OAT menu, click Server Administration > User Privileges.
  2. Click the Internal Users tab.
  3. Select the level of privileges for internal users: Basic or Administrative. Select No Privileges to disable user mapping for the server.
