Add SDS Server
Use the SDS wizard to add a shared disk (SD) secondary server connection to the selected cluster.
In the SDS Wizard, enter the server information in the following fields:
- Server name
- Enter the name of the server.
- OAT group
- Confirm the name of the current OAT group. The SD secondary server is added to this OAT group.
- Server number
- Enter the number of the database server set by the SERVERNUM configuration parameter in the onconfig file.
- Host
- Enter the name of the computer hosting the server.
- Port
- Enter a valid, unique port number.
- User
- Enter the user name informix. (Required)
- Password
- Enter the password for the user informix.
- Connection protocol
- Select the type of connection to the database server (nettype on
UNIX, or PROTOCOL on Windows):

- Enter the port number of the idsd daemon at the server.
The following fields are populated based on the information on the previous page. Only the Informix® directory can be edited.
- Informix directory
- The directory in which the IBM® Informix database server is installed.
- Configuration file
- The location of the onconfig file on the server.
- SQLHOSTS file
- The location of the sqlhosts file on the server
