SQL Admin API Privileges
Use this page to grant and revoke privileges to run the SQL administration API commands on the database server. Users with these privileges can also log in to OAT with their own user name.
Individual users can be granted privileges to administer database servers by running SQL administration API commands. Users who are granted these privileges can connect to the sysadmin database on a database server with their user name either directly or by using OAT. By default, only user informix or the DBSA can run the SQL administration API commands on the database server.
Users who are granted privileges to run SQL administration API commands can log in to OAT with their user name. By default, users must log in as user informix or the DBSA. To give a user full access to OAT, grant the user the Operator privilege or the Admin privilege. To give a user limited access to OAT, grant the user the Monitor privilege group or select a custom set of the privilege groups.
Privilege groups identify which SQL administration API commands a user can run. Some commands are in more than one privilege group. Privilege groups are granted to users so that they can run the commands that they need to complete their tasks.
The Replication privilege group grants a user the privileges to run the cdr commands for Enterprise Replication on the database server. However, the IBM Informix Replication Plug-in for OpenAdmin Tool (OAT) requires that the user log in to OAT as the user informix or as a DBSA.
