ON-Bar Activity Log Rotation

Use this page to configure automatic rotation of the ON-Bar activity log.

Prerequisite: For this action, the OpenAdmin Tool (OAT) for Informix® requires IBM® Informix 11.70.xC3 or later.

You can control the size of the ON-Bar activity log file by configuring automatic log file rotation. When the ON-Bar activity log rotates, the database server switches to a new ON-Bar activity log file and increments the ID numbers for the previous log files by one. When the maximum number of log files is reached, the log file with the highest ID is deleted.

By default, the ON-Bar activity log is enabled and configured to rotate at 3 a.m., every 30 days with a maximum of 12 log files.
