Spaces
Use this page to review information about the storage spaces in a database server and to expand, create, modify, or drop a space.
- Number
- The unique ID number of the storage space that is assigned when the space is created.
- Name
- The name of the storage space.
- Status
- The status of the space: operational, disabled, or recovering.
- % Used
- The percent of the storage space that is used. Move the cursor over the graphic to display the percentage. You can configure the thresholds and the exceptions that determine the color of the % Used column in the IBM® Informix® Health Advisor Plug-in for OpenAdmin Tool (OAT). Click the link above the table to go to the Dbspace Free alarm in the Default profile of the Health Advisor plug-in to change the threshold values. You must have the Health Advisor plug-in installed in OAT and deployed on the database server. To install the Health Advisor plug-in, go to page. The Health Advisor plug-in requires Informix 11.50.xC7 or later.
- Size
- The total size of the storage space. The size is displayed in the most appropriate unit; for example, KB (kilobytes), MB (megabytes), or GB (gigabytes).
- Page Size
- The page size of the storage space.
- Type
- The type of storage space: dbspace, sbspace, blobspace, temporary dbspace, temporary sbspace, mirrored dbspace, mirrored sbspace, or mirrored blobspace.
- Expandable
- The database server can automatically expand the size of the storage space when necessary. For the storage space to be expandable, the create size and the extend size for the space must be greater than zero. This information is displayed for IBM Informix 11.70.
- Create Size
- The minimum size of a new chunk that the server can create for this space from the storage pool. This information is displayed for Informix 11.70.
- Extend Size
- The minimum size that the server can use when extending a chunk. This information is displayed for Informix 11.70.
- Last Backup
- The time of the most recent backup of the space.
- Expand
- Click to expand the selected space or add a chunk to the space. This action requires Informix 11.70.
- Create
- Click to create a space.
- Modify
- Click to change the create size or extend size for the selected space. This action requires Informix 11.70.
- Drop
- Click to drop the selected space.
