Monitoring transaction failures

Monitor the number of transaction failures at the current node in an Enterprise Replication (ER) domain.

You can monitor transaction failures by using the following methods:
  • On the menu of the HCL OpenAdmin Tool (OAT) for Informix®, click Replication > Node Details > Summary. In the Apply section, review the following fields:
    • Transaction Fail Rate: The average number of transaction failures per second.
    • Total Failures: The total number of failed transactions.
    • ATS File Count: The total number of Aborted Transaction Spooling (ATS) files at the node. A number higher than 0 indicates possible failures at the table level.
    • RIS File Count: The total number of Row Information Spooling (RIS) files at the node. A number higher than 0 indicates possible failures at the row level.
  • On the OAT menu, click Replication > Node Details > Apply. Review the Fail Rate and Total Failures fields for the current node, and the Apply Statistics Per Node table, which lists the source nodes that have sent transactions. The Total Transactions Failed column lists how many transactions have failed at the current node, by the node that sent the transactions.
  • On the OAT menu, click Replication > Node Details > ATS and RIS. These pages list the ATS files and RIS files used to resynchronize transactions after there have been failures.
