Checking a replicate set

Run a consistency check to compare the data between a reference server and one or more target servers in a replicate set and to generate a report that describes any inconsistencies.

To check a replicate set:
  1. On the menu of the HCL OpenAdmin Tool (OAT) for Informix®, expand Replication, and then click Replicates.
  2. Click the Replicate Sets tab.
  3. Click the replicate set in the table. To view the replicates in the set, expand the replicate set name.
  4. On the Actions menu, click Check or Sync Replicate Set.
  5. Enter a name to identify the task so that you can monitor it on the Task Status page.
  6. Select Check.
  7. For Frequency, specify when to perform the action. The default is Immediately, when you click Finish.
  8. Optional: Select the option to limit the number of rows to check by time period.
  9. Select a Reference Server to use as the reference copy of the data.
  10. Specify the number of processes to use. For best performance, choose the maximum number of processes. This number is either the number of available virtual processors or the number of replicates in the replicate set, whichever is smaller.
  11. Specify the target servers to check.

To monitor the progress of the task and to see the consistency report, click the Task Status tab.
