Changing the idle timeout for an ER server

Modify an Enterprise Replication (ER) server to change the idle timeout.

The idle timeout is the amount of time that the connection between the server and the other servers in the ER domain can be idle before the server disconnects.

To change the idle timeout for an ER server:

  1. On the menu of the HCL OpenAdmin Tool (OAT) for Informix®, click Replication > ER Domain.
  2. Select the server on the Routing Topology page or the Server List page.
  3. On the Actions menu, click Modify Server.
  4. For Idle timeout, select On and enter the time in minutes.

    Entering 0 (zero) minutes or leaving the field blank is the same as selecting Off.

  5. Click Save.

    The options that you selected and the results of the action are displayed.
