Changing the type for participants on an ER server

Modify an Enterprise Replication (ER) server to change the type for participants whose conflict resolution rule is ignore.

The participant type indicates whether a participant both sends and receives or only receives replicated data. Participant type does not affect conflict resolution when the rule is ignore. So all the participants on a server in replicates with that rule can be changed with one action.

To change the type for participants:

On the menu of the HCL OpenAdmin Tool (OAT) for Informix®, click Replication > ER Domain.
Select the server on the Routing Topology page or the Server List page.
On the Actions menu, click Modify Server.
Select the Participant type:
- Primary: The participants both send and receive replicated data.
- Receive-only: The participants only receive data from primary participants.
Click Save.
The options that you selected and the results of the action are displayed.
Tip: You can also change the type for these replicates and for other replicates by using the Modify Replicate action on the Replicates page.
