Step 4: Review your choices and define the server for ER
Review the choices that you made for the server that you are defining for Enterprise Replication and complete the task.
To change a choice, click Back until you return to the appropriate step.
New storage spaces
The dbspace and sbspaces that will be added to the server.
Configuration changes
The configuration parameters that will be changed on the server.
CDR_QDATA_SBSPACE: The sbspaces for spooled row data.
CDR_DBSPACE: The dbspace for ER catalog information. If none is specified, the root dbspace will be used.
Server and ER domain choices
Server that you are defining for ER: The server that will be defined for ER.
ER group: The server group for the server. The server group is identified in the SQLHOSTS information about the server.
ER domain:
- Adding server to existing ER domain: The server will be added as a new node to an existing ER domain.
- Creating a new ER domain: The server will be the first node in a new ER domain.
Server to synchronize ER domain configuration: If the new server is added to an existing ER domain, the server in the domain that is used to synchronize the ER domain configuration.
Node type: Root, nonroot, or leaf. The node type that corresponds to the way that you have set up the SQLHOSTS information for this node.
ATS directory: The complete path for the Aborted Transactions Spooling directory. If none is specified, the tmp directory will be used.
RIS directory: The complete path for the Row Information Spooling directory. If none is specified, the tmp directory will be used.
Idle timeout: The number of minutes that the connection between the new node and the other servers in the ER domain can be idle before the new node disconnects.
When you are satisfied with your choices, click Finish to define the server for ER activity and create the storage spaces, if any.
