Domain
Use this page to view an Enterprise Replication (ER) domain topology and to manage ER servers and domains.
Prerequisite: To access a database with
a nondefault locale on the pages of the IBM® Informix® Replication Plug-in for OpenAdmin
Tool (OAT):
- The IBM OpenAdmin Tool (OAT) for Informix requires the UTF-8 locales for all the databases that you access through OAT. To access a database with a locale that is not included in the IBM Informix Client Software Development Kit (Client SDK), install the locale by using the IBM Informix International Language Supplement (ILS). After you install OAT, install ILS on the machine where OAT is installed in the Informix Connect or Client SDK directory. Use ILS to install the additional locale, including the UTF-8 version, in the Informix Connect or Client SDK directory that OAT is using.
- The Replication plug-in requires Informix 11.70.xC4.
- The database name must be in English characters.
- Routing Topology
- Use this page to view the topology of the servers in the ER domain
that are known to the current server.
- To connect to a different database server, select it in the Server list.
- To specify a different database locale, select the language in the Database Language list to display the database locales for that language. Then select the database locale from the Locale list.
- To view the node name and node members, hover over the node in the topology.
- To hide or show the subtree of any nonleaf node, click the collapse or expand button on the node.
- To zoom in or out on the domain, use the zoom slider.
- To view the refresh rate, click the clock icon.
- To change the refresh rate, click the clock icon, and then use the slider to specify a refresh rate from 0 seconds to 300 seconds.
- To turn the connection lines between the nodes on or off, click the Normal View or No Connection View buttons.
- Server List
- Use this page to view information about the servers in the ER
domain that are known to the current server.
- Server Group
- The name of the database server group.
- Status
- The status of the server. Click the details icon to display the profile data and any alerts for the node.
- Last Monitored
- The date and time that the server was last monitored.
- Server Group Members
- The servers that are members of the database server group.
- Type
- The node type: Root, Leaf, or Nonroot.
- Parent
- The parent servers for leaf nodes.
- Version
- The version of the database server.
- Actions
- Click the Actions menu to work with an
ER server.
- Define Server
- Make a server a new node in an existing ER domain or the first node in a new ER domain.
- Modify Server
- Change the ATS directory or RIS directory, the idle timeout, or the type of some of the participants on an ER server.
- Delete Server
- Remove a server from an ER domain and stop all replication of data to or from the server. You cannot delete a server that has non-root or leaf children. Delete the children of a server before deleting the parent server.
- Node Status
- Display the profile data and any alerts for the node.
- Node Details
- Display the high-level statistics for the node.
- Edit Thresholds
- Edit the alert thresholds.
- Connect Server
- Reconnect to an ER server that has been disconnected with the Disconnect Server action.
- Disconnect Server
- Disconnect an ER server from another ER server in the domain.
- Disable Replication
- Temporarily stop replication on an ER server without stopping the server, and save the information about any deleted rows on the server.
- Enable Replication
- Restart replication on an ER server that was stopped with the Disable Replication action.
- Suspend Replication
- Suspend the delivery of replicated data to an ER server.
- Resume Replication
- Resume the delivery of replicated data to an ER server that is suspended.
- Start Replication
- Restart replication on an ER server.
- Stop Replication
- Stop replication on an ER server without stopping the server.
- Clean Start Replication
- Empty the replication queues of pending transactions and then restart replication on an ER server.
