Grid

Use this page to set up and manage a grid of interconnected replication servers in an Enterprise Replication (ER) domain.

Prerequisite: For the grid, the IBM® Informix® Replication Plug-in for OpenAdmin Tool (OAT) requires IBM Informix 11.70.

Prerequisite: For regions, the Informix Replication Plug-in for OAT requires IBM Informix 12.10.

Grids

This list displays the grids for the ER domain of the current server. To display the servers in a grid, select the grid.

Grid Members

This page lists the servers in the grid. To view the servers as a series of icons, on the Show menu, click Node. The page displays a maximum of 64 icons.

Type

Source: A server from which an authorized user can run grid commands. Grid commands are propagated to all other servers in the grid.
Member: A server that is not a source server.

Regions

Regions are a subset of the servers in a grid. You can partition a grid into regions that suit your business needs.

Actions

Create Grid: Define a grid. Authorize a server from which to run grid commands and users to run the commands.
Delete Grid: Delete a grid.
Add Members: Add servers to the selected grid, and optionally authorize a server from which to run grid commands.
Changes Users: Authorize users to run grid commands for the selected grid or remove the authorization to run grid commands from users.
Enable Source Server: Authorize the selected member server to run grid commands. Select the member server on the Grid Members page.
Disable Source Server: Change the selected source server to a member server. Select the source server in the Grids list or on the Grid Members page.
Remove Server: Remove a member or source server from the selected grid.
Create Region: Create a region in the selected grid or region.
Modify Region: Add or remove grid servers for the selected region.
Delete Region: Delete a region.
