Create Grid
Use these pages to define a grid of interconnected replication servers in an Enterprise Replication (ER) domain, and optionally authorize a server from which to run grid commands and users to run the commands.
Prerequisite: For the grid, the IBM® Informix® Replication Plug-in for OpenAdmin
Tool (OAT) requires IBM
Informix 11.70.
- Grid name
- The grid name must be unique among grid names and replicate set names. The name must follow the guidelines of SQL syntax for an identifier.
- Member Servers
- Member servers are servers in the grid that are not authorized as source servers.
- Source
- A source server is a server in the grid from which an authorized user can run grid commands. Grid commands are propagated to all other servers in the grid. Authorizing more than one source server can lead to grid command conflicts.
- Authorized Users
- An authorized user can run grid commands from any source server in the grid.
- SQL command
- The SQL command is the command that OAT sends to the database server.
- cdr command
- The cdr command can be run from the command line on a UNIX or Windows operating system.
