Replicate Sets
Use this page to view information about Enterprise Replication (ER) replicate sets, define new replicate sets, modify replicate sets, delete replicate sets, or manage the state of replicate sets.
Replicate Sets
This table displays the replicate sets that are visible to the current server. The table displays the following information for each replicate set:
- Name: Expand the name of a replicate set to display information about the replicates in the set.
- Exclusive: An indicator of whether this replicate set is an exclusive replicate set.
- State: For exclusive replicate sets, the state of all the replicates in the set. Non-exclusive replicate sets have no state because the individual replicates in the set can have different states.
- Created: The date and time that the set was created.
- Modified: The date and time that the set was last modified.
Replicates
Expand a replicate set to display the replicates in the set. The following information is displayed for each replicate:
- Name
- State: The state of the replicate:
- Active: ER captures data from the logical log on the source server and transmits it to the active participants on the target servers. A replicate is active if at least one participant in the replicate is active.
- Inactive: No database changes are captured, transmitted, or processed.
- Suspended: The replicate captures and accumulates database changes, but does not transmit any of the captured data.
- Created: The date and time that the replicate was created.
- Modified: The date and time that the replicate was last modified.
Actions
Click the Actions menu to define or work with a replicate set.
- Define New Replicate Set: Define a new replicate set for the domain.
- Modify Replicate Set: Add or delete replicates in a set or change the replication frequency for all the replicates in the set.
- Start Replicate Set: Change the state of all the replicates in a replicate set to active. This action is enabled when a replicate set that has at least one inactive replicate is selected.
- Stop Replicate Set: Change the state of all the replicates in a replicate set to inactive. This action is enabled when a replicate set that has at least one active replicate is selected.
- Suspend Replicate Set: Suspend all the replicates in a replicate set. This action is enabled when a replicate set that has at least one active replicate is selected.
- Resume Replicate Set: Return the suspended replicates in a replicate set to an active state. This action is enabled when a replicate set that has at least one suspended replicate is selected.
- Check or Sync Replicate Set: Check for data inconsistencies between a reference server and target servers, repair data inconsistencies, or synchronize data to repair inconsistencies.
- Delete Replicate Set: Remove a replicate set from the domain. This action does not delete the individual replicates within the replicate set.
