Start Replicate Set
Use this page to change the state of all the replicates in a replicate set to active.
When a replicate is active, Enterprise Replication (ER) captures data from the logical log on the source server and transmits it to the active participants on the target servers.
Participants
This list displays the name of the server group for each participant in the replicate set. Select the check box for each participant that you want to start.
To start all the participants in the replicate set, select the All Participants check box.
Options
Synchronize data: Select this option to perform an initial synchronization for the replicates that you are starting. All the rows that match the replication criteria are transferred from the data source server that you specify to the target servers.
Specify the data source server for synchronization: If you select Synchronize data, this list of the servers in the replicate becomes available. Select the synchronization server from the list. The participant on the selected synchronization server is started even if it is not selected as one of the participants to start.
- Delete: Delete the extra rows from the target servers.
- Keep: Keep the extra rows on the target servers.
- Merge: Keep the extra rows on the target servers and replicate them to the source server.
