Disjoint
Use this page to view information about disjoint connection units and to connect to a server in a disjoint connection unit.
A disjoint connection unit is managed by the same Connection Manager as a connection unit that includes the current server. However, the servers in the disjoint connection unit are not connected to the current server. The current server has limited information about the disjoint connection unit.
To connect to a server in the disjoint connection unit, click the icon for the connection unit. If the connection unit contains a server in the current OAT group, OAT connects to the server and obtains the information about the connection unit. If the connection unit does not contain a server in the current OAT group or if OAT cannot determine the server names in the connection unit, a page is displayed from which you can connect to the server and add the server to the current OAT group.
Connect to server
- Server
- Select the database server to connect to. The servers in the list are members of the disjoint connection unit.
- OAT group
- Verify the OAT group. The connection information for the server is added to this group.
- Host
- Enter the name of the host computer for the database server.
- Port
- Enter the port number of the host computer for the database server.
- User
- Enter the user name to use to connect to the database server. Specify either user informix or a user that is a member of the Operating System DBSA group.
- Password
- Enter the valid password for the user.
- Protocol
- Select the type of connection to the database server (nettype on
UNIX, or PROTOCOL on Windows):
