Software requirements for DataBlade module development

Install and become familiar with your database server, HCL Informix® Client Software Development Kit, and Informix DataBlade Developers Kit (DBDK).

In addition, if you plan to develop a DataBlade module in Java™, become familiar with J/Foundation and the Java software development kit. For information about the development kit version and source, see the database server release notes.

Install the latest version of the HCL Informix software for your development environment. Although the Informix DataBlade Developers Kit (DBDK) is only available on Windows, it can generate DataBlade modules for UNIX as well as Windows.
