You can enable the generation of ATS and RIS files when
you define a replicate.
Failed transactions are not automatically recorded in ATS
and RIS files. You can choose to generate either ATS or RIS files,
or both.
You should create a separate directory to store ATS and
RIS files. If you do not create a separate directory and specify it
when you define the replication server, Enterprise Replication stores
the ATS and RIS files in the /tmp directory on UNIX and the %INFORMIXDIR%\tmp directory
on Windows.
To collect ATS and RIS information
- Create a directory for Enterprise Replication to store
ATS and RIS files. You can create two directories if you want to generate
both types of file and store them in separate directories.
- If you are using primary-target replication, create the directory
on the target system.
- If you are using update-anywhere replication and have a conflict
resolution rule other than ignore or always-apply enabled, create
the directory on all participating replication systems.
- When you define or modify a replication server, specify
the location of the ATS and RIS directory by using the --ats and --ris options
of the cdr define server command or the cdr
modify server command.
- When you define or modify a replicate, specify that ATS
and RIS file generation is enabled by using the --ats and --ris options
of the cdr define replicate command or the cdr
modify replicate command.
