ESQL/C components

IBM® Informix® ESQL/C consists of the following software components:
  • The Informix ESQL/C libraries of C functions, which provide access to the database server.
  • The Informix ESQL/C header files, which provide definitions for the data structures, constants, and macros useful to the Informix ESQL/C program.
  • The esql command, which processes the Informix ESQL/C source code to create a C source file that it passes to the C compiler.
  • The finderr utility on the UNIX system and the Windows Informix Error Messages utility, which enable you to obtain information about error messages specific to Informix.
  • The Informix GLS locale and code-set-conversion files, which provide locale-specific information.
