Starting a master agent manually

To start a master agent manually:

  1. Log in as root.

    If you do not have root user privileges, ask your system administrator to start the master agent.

  2. Stop or kill any master agents and daemons that are running on the workstation.
  3. Enter the following command for EMANATE: snmpdm &
