  • Techniques for troubleshooting problems
    Troubleshooting is a systematic approach to solving a problem. The goal of troubleshooting is to determine why something does not work as expected and how to resolve the problem. Certain common techniques can help with the task of troubleshooting.
  • Correcting assertion failures
    An assertion failure occurs when the database server cannot continue normal processing and must shut down. You can correct some of the problems that cause assertion failures, such as disk issues. For other problems that cause assertion failures, you must contact Software Support.
