Forcing checkpoints

Force a blocked or unblocked checkpoint that flushes the buffers to disk.

To force a checkpoint:

1. On the OAT menu, click Space Administration > Recovery Logs.
2. Click the Admin tab.
3. In the Checkpoint section, select the type of checkpoint:
   • Normal Checkpoint: Select this option to force a nonblocking checkpoint.
   • Synch Checkpoint: Select this option to force a blocking checkpoint.
4. Click Do Checkpoint.
