Managing recovery logs

View and manage the checkpoints, logical logs, and physical logs for a database server.

Viewing checkpoint history
View the checkpoint history to determine basic checkpoint information including the number of times that threads waited for a checkpoint to finish.
Forcing checkpoints
Force a blocked or unblocked checkpoint that flushes the buffers to disk.
Viewing logical log statistics
View logical log statistics including the size, percent used, status, and fill rate.
Adding logical logs
Add logical logs to a dbspace.
Switching to the next logical log
Switch to the next logical log immediately.
Dropping logical logs
Drop a logical log and increase the amount of disk space available within a dbspace.
Viewing physical log statistics
View the physical log statistics including the log size, amount used, and buffer size.
Moving physical logs
Move a physical log to a different dbspace and change the size of the log.
