Deleting a table row

Delete a table row on the database server by using Query By Example.

Note: Only rows with unique identifiers can be deleted by using Query By Example in the HCL OpenAdmin Tool (OAT) for Informix®. Unique identifiers include primary key, unique constraint, unique index, and rowid if the table is not fragmented.

To delete a table row on the database server:

  1. Perform a query by using Query By Example. See Performing a query.
  2. If necessary, use the arrow buttons to scroll to the row.
    Important: When you delete a row, it is permanently deleted on the database server. You cannot undo a delete.
  3. Click Delete Row.

    The row is deleted on the database server.
