Adding a chunk

Add a chunk to a storage space.

When you add a chunk, you can specify the path or create the chunk from the storage pool. For the storage pool, HCL OpenAdmin Tool (OAT) for Informix® requires HCL Informix version 11.70.

To add a chunk:

  1. On the OAT menu, click Space Administration > Storage.
  2. Expand the Chunks panel.
  3. Click Add.
  4. Complete the fields on the page.

To make the chunk extendable, select the chunk and click Modify. This action requires HCL Informix version 11.70.
