Stopping replication on a server

Stop replication on an Enterprise Replication (ER) server without shutting down the server.

Attention: Use this action with extreme caution and only on the advice of IBM® Software Support.

Important: When you stop replication on a server, replicated transactions are not captured or applied on the server. To ensure consistency, verify that no database updates occur on the server. Ensure that the send queues on the other ER servers in the domain do not become full.

To stop replication on a server:

On the menu of the HCL OpenAdmin Tool (OAT) for Informix®, click Replication > ER Domain.
On the Routing Topology page or the Server List page, select the server.
On the Actions menu, click Stop Server.

To restart replication on the server, use the Start Replication action. Stopping and restarting the server does not restart replication on the server.
