Creating a grid

Define a grid of interconnected replication servers in an Enterprise Replication (ER) domain. Authorize a server from which to run grid commands and users to run the commands.

Prerequisite: For this action, the HCL OpenAdmin Tool (OAT) for Informix® requires HCL Informix version 11.70.

You can define a grid based on an existing ER domain.

To create a grid:

  1. Connect to a replication server in the ER domain by selecting the server on the OAT login page or in the Server list at the top of the OAT page.
  2. On the OAT menu, click Replication > Grid.
  3. On the Actions menu, click Create Grid.
  4. Complete the fields on the page.
