Enabling or disabling a source server for a grid

Enable a server to run commands in a grid of interconnected replication servers in an Enterprise Replication (ER) domain, or remove that authorization from a server.

Prerequisite: For this action, the HCL OpenAdmin Tool (OAT) for Informix® requires HCL Informix version 11.70.

Grid commands that are run on a source server are propagated to all other servers in the grid. Only a source server can run grid commands. Member servers are not authorized to run grid commands.

To enable or disable a source server for a grid:

  1. On the OAT menu, click Replication > Grid.
  2. Click the grid in the Grids list.
  3. Click the server on the Grid Members page.
  4. On the Actions menu, click the appropriate action: Enable Source Server or Disable Source Server.
