Removing a grid command

Remove the metadata and the task status for a command that ran on the servers in a grid of interconnected replication servers in an Enterprise Replication (ER) domain.

Prerequisite: For this action, the HCL OpenAdmin Tool (OAT) for Informix® requires HCL Informix version 11.70.

Grid commands that run on a source server are propagated to all other servers in the grid. You can remove a grid command that completed successfully or that you do not plan to rerun. Remove completed grid commands occasionally to prevent the database in which they are stored from growing too large.

When you add a server to the grid, any commands that were previously run through the grid have a status of pending for that server. If you want to run a previous grid command on a new grid server, rerun the command. If you do not want to run a previous grid command on a new server, remove the command.

To remove a grid command:

  1. On the OAT menu, click Replication > Grid.
  2. Click the grid in the Grids list.
  3. Click the Status tab.
  4. Click the command.
  5. On the Actions menu, click Remove.
