Creating a database

Create a database and specify the database locale.

Prerequisite: To create a database, the OpenAdmin Tool (OAT) for Informix® requires HCL Informix 11.70.xC2.

To create a database:

  1. On menu for the HCL OpenAdmin Tool (OAT) for Informix, click SQL Toolbox > Schema Manager.
  2. On the Actions menu, click Create Database.
  3. Follow the directions in the Create Database wizard.
