Routing client connections in a grid

Route client connections to replication servers in a grid based on the quality of replicated data and transaction latency by configuring service level agreements (SLAs) for a Connection Manager.

Prerequisites: For the grid, the HCL Informix® Replication Plug-in for OpenAdmin Tool (OAT) requires HCL Informix 11.70. For the Connection Manager, the HCL OpenAdmin Tool (OAT) for Informix requires Informix 11.70.xC3 and the Connection Manager that is packaged with Informix 11.70.xC3 or with HCL Informix Client Software Development Kit (Client SDK) 3.70.xC3.

The Connection Manager uses SLAs to determine which server to connect with a client application. You can create an SLA to route client connections to replication servers in a grid based on the lowest latency, the fewest apply failures, and the least workload.
